i made a vcd and watched it on my dvd player and i noticed that it was bigger than my tv (if that makes any sence) ......... the last line on the bottom of the subtitles was cut off half way Horizontally... it was like my tv wasent big enought? what should i do?

I have the same problem! i tried different aspect ratios but that didnt help. i use dvdx.

The "Bigger than my TV" effect is called overscan, and is normal so that the ragged lines and noise at edges are not visible.
If possible you should reserve at least five percent of the resolution around each edge of the picture, keeping important text and menu information within the central area. For a typical 352x240 VCD, this means keeping things at least 18 pixels from the left and right edges, and at least 12 pixels from the top and bottom.
