Hello
I was hoping to find someone on here who may know of a way to clean up this very old video footage.
It's a PAL 25 frame, 8mm video https://drive.google.com/file/d/1rIWZB-Yylb4mlb0nAD5k12eVB63YE_SN/view?usp=sharing, which was converted by a professional many years ago (no longer have the original film). Unfortunately, I only use windows 7 and Avisynth 2.6.
I really didn't want to apply too many filters as it looks as though not much can be done. So far, the script I have used is the following:
LoadPlugin("C:\Program Files (x86)\AviSynth\plugins\ChromaShift.dll")
LoadPlugin("C:\Program Files (x86)\AviSynth\plugins\DGDecode.dll")
LoadPlugin("C:\Program Files (x86)\AviSynth\plugins\DeGrainMedian.dll")
LoadPlugin("C:\Program Files (x86)\AviSynth\plugins\deblock.dll")
LoadPlugin("C:\Program Files (x86)\AviSynth\plugins\TDeint.dll")
LoadPlugin("C:\Program Files (x86)\AviSynth\plugins\SmoothUV.dll")
LoadPlugin("C:\Program Files (x86)\AviSynth\plugins\Denoise.dll")
LoadPlugin("C:\Program Files (x86)\AviSynth\plugins\masktools2.dll")
LoadPlugin("C:\Program Files (x86)\AviSynth\plugins\aWarpsharpMT.dll")
LoadPlugin("C:\Program Files (x86)\AviSynth\plugins\despot.dll")
LoadPlugin("C:\Program Files (x86)\AviSynth\plugins\MipSmooth.dll")
LoadPlugin("C:\Program Files (x86)\AviSynth\plugins\MosquitoNR.dll")
LoadPlugin("C:\Program Files (x86)\AviSynth\plugins\TDeint.dll")
LoadPlugin("C:\Program Files (x86)\AviSynth\plugins\Deen.dll")
LoadPlugin("C:\Program Files (x86)\AviSynth\plugins\unblend.dll")
LoadPlugin("C:\Program Files (x86)\AviSynth\plugins\RemoveDirt.dll")
LoadPlugin("C:\Program Files (x86)\AviSynth\plugins\Decomb.dll")
LoadPlugin("C:\Program Files (x86)\AviSynth\plugins\UnsharpHQmod.dll")
directshowsource("F:\1970's - Footy Scrapbook Compilation\8mm Film.mp4")
Import("C:\Program Files (x86)\AviSynth\plugins\QTGMC.avsi")
ConvertToYV12()
Tweak(bright=0.00, sat=1.30, cont=1.00, hue=-0.00)
aWarpSharp2(thresh=200, blur=2, type=0, depth=16, chroma=4)
UnsharpHQ(THRESHOLD=5, SHARPSTR=10.0, SMOOTH=0.5, SHOW=false, MODE=0, OPT=0)
AssumeTFF()
Any help would be greatly appreciated

From my perspective looking at the provided video, aside from deblocking there isn't realy antyhing worth to save.users currently on my ignore list: deadrats, Stears555 -
Selur is right.
However, johnmeyer will give you the right indications; in the meantime you can read https://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=161493 -
The link lollo provided will show you how to get rid of the blends but, unfortunately, that will not help much because the optical path used for the capture was so incredibly bad. Sadly, there is really nothing you can do to improve these.

Thankyou guys, really appreciate the feedback.
I found out the original 8mm film still exists. I wonder if it would be worth having it scanned again by someone different?
I'm not familiar with this kind of medium. Have always converted Beta and VHS tape. -
You should absolutely have the film re-transferred. The difference will be stunning.
