I tested vdocipher script over & over and it's work like a charm. no error found
May be you installed python v3.10.
Check your py version...

I have tried to proceed as indicated here. I downloaded vdocipher.py and executed it (Python 3.7.7 macOS). Then it requested "Enter Auth: ". I copied it as stated in the script help and copy-paste this 324 length token to the terminal, and I got:
