    I would like to author miniDVD's on cd-r, where can I download such software that converts mpeg2's to this format?

    Pickwit. MiniDVD is not a different format of encoded video. It is a DVD mpeg2 but authored and burned on a CD rather than on a DVD. And this can be played only by a few DVD players.
