DVD Authoring Software

Hi All,

No doubt this has been discussed before but can not find the answer.

I have been using DVD Workshop 2 since its release, and loved the advanced control it gave over menus, being able to choose the actions of each button in each menu and sub menu was very important to the type of work I was producing. But as we all know Corel has total disappointed users and destroyed all that wa s good with Ulead products, and now only produces general consumer software. I have tried all the latest releases X3 Pro DVD Move factory 7, ect. And non of them have the advanced control. DVDW2 lack of 16.9 menu support is the only draw back and all the fixes I have seen do not fully over come this issue. Is there a program out there that will give advanced control as described with similar Features as DVDW2?

Cost of the software is not the issue when the out come is the desired result.

Try Tmpgenc Dvd Author. I don't know what version they are up to right now. i have 2.0 and it is a good set of software with some basic and some advanced options you might like. You can download a trial to see if you like it.

If you are looking for an advance DVD authoring, than try DVDLab Pro. It is 30 day trial with full features.

No, there is nothing else like DVDWS. I just deal with 4:3 menus. They're just menus, after all.
If you really want to, there are some tricks to edit the disc afterwards, and forced 16:9. I don't know them off-hand, I don't care. But they're discussed here, and also in the Ulead/Corel forums.

DVD-Lab isn't it, no. That software is very old now, too. (Various bugs never fixed.)

The closest is DVD Studio Pro on a Mac.

DVDLab Pro is still supported and while the most recent updates go back aways, they are still far more recent than and support offered for DVD WS. I would be interested to know what bugs were not addressed.

I have downloaded the trial DVDLab Pro and will see how this goes. I just wish there was some smart person out there that could write a patch for DVDWS for the 16.9 menu limitations. From what I have seen it is still better than the new stuff that is out there.
