Right now i probably have several hundreds of films on my computer HDDs.

But soon I will assemble a server, where I will upload all whole videotheque, most of it in HDD.

I would like to share it with everybody on the network, as many of the films are not available anymore, or not in such a good quality.

At the same time I don't want to make my pc fragile to hacker attacks that might harm it.

So I imagine is not such an easy thing.

I know that the torrents I downloaded and are still on the uTorrent directory are being shared, but I want to share all of them.

All these films I downloaded from the web, so the least I can do is to pass them on to others.

    Any hints?

So, are all the films that you want to share either in the public domain or the copyright holders have given you permission to share them? Potentially you could be sued for sharing films that are still under copyright, even if they are no longer being sold or commercially distributed.

  4. Potentially, his hard drive could also die from all the read it has to do, so yeah, not a good idea!

The copyright problem, living where I live, might not be a problem.

But the HDD driver from so many reads, that certainly is. Certainly don't want that.

Sorry, I was being extremely sarcastic. You shouldn't worry about that.

    Theoretically, it is possible, though

If you do use a torrent and some movies are questionable then the mpaa will contact you as they scan torrents diligently.
