  1. Sorry if this is a bit stupid of me, but I'm new to all this. I'm just starting to use virtuadub for capturing, and have had some success, but am deciding now whether to capture larger chunks of video using virtuadubs multisegmenting. If I have 4 segments of 3gb, say, and compress them to mpeg using Tmpgenc, can I just merge them together with no trace of a 'seam' between the different video segments?

  2. Ok, just tried my first attempt, and I get a audible 'click' between the two files (didnt notice any video problems as it was on a still shot). Is there a way to get round this problem?

  3. Yes, use the VirtualDub frame server function.

  4. So I capture as I am doing now, and use frameserver to pass the avi file to another application (Tmpegenc?)...is this easy to do...like I said, I'm not the most computer literate at times, but I'm trying!

  5. Yes, then load the first segmented avi file and the rest will autoload as you frame serve. Simple to do, look here for info.
