  1. I have a VCD which has three dat files in mpegav folder. The first file avseq01.dat is an introductory vedio clip which consumes a lot of time in playing or I have to fast forward it every time.
To save this time and this exersize every time, I want to create another VCD from this existing VCD without the file avseq01.dat. The other two files avseq02.dat and avseq03.dat shall remain there.

What should be the procedure for creating/burning the above requirement.

use vcdeasy to "disassemble" the vcd, then make a new vcd with the files you want. vcdeasy can be found in the tools section.

  3. That is, extract the disc as a CUE/BIN image on the PC (can either use CDRDAO or CDRWin) and then use VCDXRIP on the BIN file.

This will extract everything plus create an XML descriptor of the VCD. You can edit the XML file to remove one of the tracks (plus any other alterations to the menus, etc., that you want).

Then use VCDXBUILD to create a CUE/BIN image.

You can use VCDEasy as GUIs for VCDXRIP and VCDXBUILD or use VCDImager Tools GUI.

If you just want to make a simple multitrack VCD of those two tracks, then just convert/copy those two tracks over to you HDD with CDXA2MPEG (again one of the tools in the VCDImager suite of images -- use VCDEasy as a GUI or VCDImager Tools GUI) or VCDGear.

Then remake another VCD with those two mpeg files (with either VCDImager Tools GUI/VCDImager, VCDEasy or Nero).
