  2. Does the duration seem correct ? Duration : 3 s 520 ms.
    File size : 249 MiB

    some suggestions:
try a different player (ex: mpc-hc)

    try remuxing to mp4:
    ffmpeg -i "input.ts" -c copy "output.mp4"
    if needed see: https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/398507-Top10-Commands-for-Lossless-Video-manipulat...eg-%28Guide%29

try opening in an editor such as avidemux.

Open MKVtoolnix GUI and add your .ts file
Hit the "Start multiplexing" button and create an MKV.

    Does that work?

Hi, I added the file to MKVtoolnix and it multiplexes/exports as a .mka file by default or .mkv if overwritten. Either file is very small (16MB) and only contains audio. MKVtoolnix says the "Container" is "MPEG transport system".

    Thanks, Becca

  8. Another Try. Load your file in Tsmuxer. Is the video stream displayed and in what length? Remux to a new ts file.

It appears that Beamafilm sends video via vimeo. If they use the vhx flavor of vimeo (rather than standard vimeo), there may be drm involved.

    Hi,
In Tsmuxer it says: ""Some tracks not recognized. This tracks was ignored." Only the audio (AAC) loads.

    Thanks, Becca

If you didn't start with the hls playlist (or master.m3u8), what you've downloaded is likely not complete. It's unlikely that what you've downloaded contains playable video, and you'll need to start over using the playlist.

That very small piece of information doesn't help very much. What does it end with?

Again, how did you download it? Did you use a program, or just click the "download link" or ???

This shouldn't be like pulling teeth. Answer thoroughly so that the same questions don't need to be repeated.

    See here and here.

IDM produced a .ts file, or the source url ends in ".ts"?

IDM used a master.m3u8 & playlist.m3u8 url to produce a .ts output file. This can be checked by right-clicking on the file in IDM, choosing properties, and examining the full address.

    Checking the following trailer on beamafilm;

    Code:
    https://beamafilm.com/watch/cobby-the-other-side-of-cute
    The first url called for the video is;
    Code:
    https://player.vimeo.com/external/444403640.m3u8?s=<code>
Which redirects to a master.m3u8 url, and then to a playlist.m3u8 url.

The playlist.m3u8 contains seperate audio and video tracks.

Perhaps IDM did not combine the separate audio and video tracks correctly.

Suggest you start over using streamlink. Or, you can keep trying to fix what you've already downloaded with IDM.

    Hi,
    Thanks for the explanation.

IDM did use a m3u8 file as you said. Is this an issue with IDM (because beamafilm used to work without any issues) or have beamafilm changed the way they deliver?

I had a look at streamlink. If using streamlink is there any option to download the movie immediately or must it be streamed and recorded through a player like VLC?

    Thanks, Bec

  18. Hello, thank you; however, there is no audio. Are you able to download the TS with combined video and audio? Also, how did you download this? Tanks
