Hi,
I need to get direct vocal audio to the camera.
I have Shure 58s and some similar mics but not sure how to connect. The 53 only has the mini jack while the 58 etc use a Canon.
Without having to go to a lot of expense what is the best way to do this please.

You need a camera adapter. Beachtek makes good and popular ones. You can also loop through something like a Zoom recorder. Direct XLR to mini adapter cables do not work.
(And your subject line appears to misidentify your Sony Camera as a Canon -- but I don't think that's what you mean.) -
Thank you.
Will check out that unit and others. I was hoping I didn't have to go to more expense with yet another gizmo
I apologize, yes I did mean Sony.
