Hello,
I am facing some problems due to audio delay when recording SVCD.
I capture the video (DC10) using VirtualDub and then I use TMPGENC in order to create MPG2 on SVCD format.
The created MPG2 is ok, but when I record it using NERO, and when I watch it on my DVD player Philco DVP2100 and others, I noticed a delay of about 500ms on audio.
I realized that it occurs when I use the “create menus” option of NERO and when using the setting PBC of the DVD player.
I’ve tried other recordings softwares, including the Ulead dvd factory and VCDeasy, but they failed too.
Is there any away to solve this problem?
By the way, what is the figure (setting, configuration) which assures the better quality of the SVCD on TMPGENC?
VBR - CQ - Quality 100
CBR
CQ - Quality 100
2 PASS VBR
It seems that the CBR and the CQ - Quality 100 shows betther quality and stability, is it true?
What is the better setting for maximum, minimum and average?
Thanks
:(

Sorry I can't answer your question as I am only just starting on SVCD but just wanted to know if you are getting more than 25mins on your cd and if you are how are you doing it?

to barb:
max total bitrate for SVCD (not X) is 2748kbps, so full CD can't be less than half of it's CDDA play time (40 min on 80 min CDR
