I was able to download the FLV with livestreamer, but want the mp4.

Hey there, I popped in to thank biezom because his tips helped me grab a PBS stream. I decided to try yours too to see if my newfound skills worked.

Try this. I think it works... I had to hop through a proxy as I'm not in the US. It works for me at least.

Replace "LCvideo" with a better name if you wish.

I was wondering if someone can give me the direct link to this pbs video like in the previous post above? I'm clueless and need some help getting this video to show my students. If possible, try and get anything that is not too big. 1gb or under is good, as It might take me too long to download. Also, the video stream will expire in 12 days, so any help would be appreciated. http://wmrecorder.com/products/wm-capture/ That will do the job without issue, but it is not free. Sometimes free software is very good, but not in this case.
You might try http://icecream-screen-recorder.en.softonic.com/ They may have a free recorder though it may not be free anymore. Give it a try.

I followed the instuctons that ChristianoA described in post 19 of this thread and was able to download a series I had been wanting. Unfortunately, two months ago I lost everything on the external hardrive it was on. (That was my own stupid mistake, I dropped the silly thing.)

But when I went back to redo the series, apparently pbs reformated thier videos because it no longer works. Every time I use the user agent switcher I can't start the video. And nothing else I've tried is working ether.

and on top of all that I have to pay at least $60.00 to be able to see all the videos for a year. I'm going to have to wait until the first for that but at least maybe I get the downloading issue resolved by then.

Help!
