Avi Demux to replace an audio track with a new one

Just now I tried to register at Avi Demux help forum and it is closed.
That site was recommended from a general search on the topic in my subject.

A new topic here because I don't know where to start in the usual way I would with a program such as MKVmerge.

Avi Demux can, apparently work with Ogg Vorbis Audio. But the process I've seen for AVI Demux involves writing scripts. I have scant to no experience writing code. But if shown how to do a script, this process which I do frequently could very likely be used indefinitely once understood.

The goal is to take an Avi video (made from old VHS) and remux the audio from it's original to an Ogg format one of the same length to which I have added voice frequencies enhancement-- to bring the voice forward in a live stage play.

I have the enhanced Ogg File. What are the steps to delete the original audio (as in Virtual Dub streams list) and add the new audio and remux the job?

Please do not use any shortcuts or jargon. I'll be doing this by rote.

with your video loaded, audio (from the top menu) => select track

With track#1 enabled, make sure it's checkmarked, and click the drop down box there is a "add audio track", select that and the location of your "new" audio track

I use AviDemux exclusively for replacing audio in video files.

I'm getting all kinds of errors: can't find the demuxer and while I see the drop down box with the original track I do not see a way to add another unless it is under some other word like "configure." There's just nothing there to do this.

I also tried to drag and drop a simple wav file. That's where I was getting the demux not found error.

I think you are confusing two programs.

Which two? This is AviDemux 2.6 x32

I am in here for an Update.

Using my AVI file and my filtered Ogg audio in MKVMerge Gui gave a result with no errors.
It made an MKV file output and no problem with using that for me. MediInfo confirmed the video with Ogg audio

I will monitor the output muxed file to see if it is satisfactory. This won't be difficult with a poorly done VHS transfer but I want to have the content.

Perhaps we can straighten out which program is which. This AVI Demux looked like it works with an initial enabled audio (checked) with the ability to add a second.

I just can't see how to add.

Then uncheck the original, leave the new one checked and proceed with mux job.

It looks straightforward except for adding the track.

Great. I have to admit I would have been hunting for a long time for the right triangle.
Will print it off and report back any success.

I have another job in the queue where AVI Demux should work.

You're right....my mistake. I keep forgetting that I use an ancient version of AviDemux.....AND I got confused with another thread where someone introduced another software into an AviDemux discussion.
