I finally get a 1280x720 output from VidCoder. Setting anamorphic to none, unchecking "keep aspect ratio" will produce a 1280x480 output. I changed the settings to anamorphic = none, check "keep aspect ratio" and set cropping to none. This will produce a 1280x720 output.

The difference I see, between 1280x828 and 1280x720, when I play the video on laptop using media player, is the 1280x828 video has 2 vertical bars on the side, the media player window occupies the entire laptop screen with the 2 vertical bars on the side, while the 1280x720 video has no vertical bars on the side, the media player window of the 1280x720 video is like 0.5 inch shorter than the window of 1280x828 video as the 1280x720 video lacks the vertical bar.
