    My wife isn't happy that I have a female urologist appointment. I didn't choose the doctor. I need a simple procedure, but the Dr. still needs to rub on some numbing creme. I'm getting a cystoscopy.

    My personal feeling is a doctor is a doctor. I go to a female doctor 2 times a year for a complete body exam to check for skin cancer. It doesn't brother me a bit. Now if it's going to cause a problem with your wife I would go to a male doctor.

    I have been in similar situations.

    Tell your wife to grow up. Your health is the top priority and anything sexual is the furthest thing on anyone mind during the procedure. The goal is to do what is required to get your health back.

    Exactly, but to be honest, I'm more comfortable with the notion of having a female handle my junk, rather than a male. Is that normal?

    When I went thru my procedure, I didn't know who was handling my junk.
    I was flat on my back and I felt latex gloves shoving a tube up my penis.
    MY first reaction...Hope the hell this doesn't take long.

    You'll be okay, just don't forget, they have to pull out the tubing....

    Well, I got through that exam. Thanks for the moral support fellers.

    I ended up with a male doctor, but the prep nurse was female. An OLD wrinkly lady, hahaha. Even the hottest nurse on the planet couldn't cause a boner. They shove a tube up in there. No fun.

    I pissed blood for two days. No cancer, so I lucked out.
