I need some like this to power extra lights in a mod but because of space restraints I need some adapters like this.

Does anyone know a good place to find various types of molex adapters like this ?

    Thanks!

  2. I don't think I've see Y adapters like that. Regular Y adapter cables won't fit?

I actually salvaged a couple from old hard drive coolers,

The thing is, the only place I have to plug into a molex connector is the back of old IDE hard drives and they are in a very tight space and it is also clear where the plugs and wires will be so I wanted to keep it as clean and compact as possible and those would be perfect.

I had to dig through a few old boxes of parts to find them but I thought of them right away for the mod as I was planning it.

I guess if I can't find more I will have to figure out an alternate power source but I wanted to not have to do any splicing and soldering just to make it faster and easier as I will be doing quite a few of the same mod.

I have been looking on google, Ebay, etc.

It might be something they don't make anymore, but I hope I can find some.

  5. It looks like they're called pass-through connectors. Many fans list pass-through connectors but on the ones I've seen pictured there's a short cable between the male/female ends.

Here are the pins used internally:

    Here's the shell (I think):

Yep, I have seen the same thing, seems to be the most common now a days as I am sure it is cheaper than having to mold a 1 piece unit.

    Pass-through, that is good!!!
I kept trying different terms but that one never even popped into my head!!!

It's always the simple things you can't think of when you are trying!!
    LOL!!

    Thanks!

And the search for the holy grail continues!!

    Hell yeah!!
That looks like it might be the ticket!!

I also found some at frozen cpu,

I like that there are different colors also.

I am going to order a couple and see how they work out, they are cheap enough so I'm not out much if they don't work or are not the correct adapter, but they look to be what I am looking for!

    Thanks!!!
