  1. I have a rage 32mb vid-in vid-out card, and for some reason, after a format, my tv-out selection (in the right click properties, displays) is greyed out... I can't select it... I went to the ati website, but they don't really have any good suggestions... anyone had this problem before and how did you fix it?

  2. install the ATI drivers and MMC- microsoft's drivers can run the display, but not the special features. if you're on 2k/xp, and have the rage theater chip, install the capture drivers (not display) for the radeon aiw

    buzzinhornets,

I have the ATIRFP card in my PC. About the only time you SHOULD have
a grayed out box is when you forget to connect the OUT plug to your TV
    set or whatever.
If you're planning on watching your output via your TV set, then:
    * During bootup, you MUST have the OUT plug connected to your TV set.
    * Then, will your OS bootup w/ TV OUT support, hence your grayed out,
    will consiquentialy be UN-grayed!!

I learned this through my trials an error days. But, I don't use this unless
I'm messing around w/ ideas or what-nots. I don't use TV OUT on the
card. I just don't have a good enough use for it - Definately NOT for ANY
    divX stuff... especially!!

  5. thanx, I'll try that... um, could it every be the case that my VCR to which I'm connecting the output to is very old, like 10years old, but it still has video-input jacks... could this caues the problems? or any video equipment with input jacks should work fine?

yes, I'm using for DivX and some great RealMedia files I got from movie88.com until they got shut down by the FBI... but I'm a student in a cheap house with a cheap TV, so I watch cheap quality videos...

    buzz,

Sorry, I don't mean anything negatively about divX. I'm just simply not
a divX fan. Your's is a good enough reason to watch it though

Yes, you can use a VCR's input as a source for your ATIRFP's OUT connector.
I don't know if age has anything to do w/ your issue though. Just test it
out and see. I don't use my OUT though. So, it's not connected to
    anything

    Later.
