  1. I'm sort of a newbie...burned plenty of VCD's...etc... BUT NOW I have a problem. I'm trying to convert an .exe movie (20 sec cartoon bit "Osama's Last Speech") to avi or mpeg... is this even possible? any helpful hints? I've tried to do some research on this site for the last couple of hours, but haven't found any clues. Help is much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Well thats an executable file its not a media format so you can't actually convert it to say, mpg or avi.

The only way I think it will be possible is for you to capture it to avi as it plays. Search on the internet for a program called hypercam. Get the demo and follow the instructions. It will basically record anything that is played on your pc screen. Im not positive it will work with an executable file like that but its worth a shot. This will give you an avi file which you can then convert to mpg and burn as a vcd, the qualit y might not be the best though.
