Pioneer A04/104, PrimoDVD, Nero

2 questions:

1). Does anyone have the Pioneer A04/104 running in UDMA mode with the latest AMD IDE drivers and have it work ok in Nero?

2). Does anyone have both Nero and PrimoDVD installed and running correctly on the same system?

I have a Pioneer A-04 running in my system(Asus A7M-266/Athlon 1.4)with Nero 5.5.9.9 & Prassi Primo DVD & everything works just fine.

Are you using the AMD IDE driver or the default MS one? Is your Pioneer running in UDMA mode?

I am running XP Pro & with XP you don't have to install the VIA 4in1 drivers because they are already part of XP. My drive is running in Ultra DMA mode 2 I believe.

I didn't do anything special at all to set it up, I installed it & burned a DVD within ten minutes. I had big problems with Nero & DVD burning however. Nero has always been the only program I use for CD-R. When I burn a DVD-R with Nero however, it won't play in my Panasonic stand-alone DVD player. If I burn the exact same disc with Prassi Primo, it will play in anything.

The Asus A7M-266 has an AMD chipset (not VIA), so you definately wouldn't need the VIA4in1 There are, however, updated drivers on the AMD site for IDE and AGP (for 2000/XP). I'm not sure if I would recommend them though.
