  1. I am sorry if I am posting this is the wrong place. I am new to ripping dvds. I have some dvds that I burned awhile back and want to rip them to an external hard drive. I dont have a problem with this but I want to separate the files. When I watch it it opens up like the dvd does with multiple episodes. I want to just have separate video files without the dvd menu popping up. I appreciate any hep I can get. I have dvd cloner but idk if what I want is possible with this program.

use DVD Decrypter click mode then IFO then put dvd in and then choose the video you want then select it then click dvd > hdd button and it will copy that ep to your pc and then do that for each ep till all are copped they save to the root of the c: drive

oh i forgot before you copy the dvd make shore you click tools then settings then IFO mode then where it says file splitting click none

  3. thanks for the help, been trying to figure this out for awhile 2 questions: 1, the file splitting thing, what is that and 2, is there a way to have this program rip every episode separate without having to do them 1 at a time? I appreciate the help

You might want to look into dvd shrink instead. You can preview each video before copying.

    Use reauthor mode.
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

You said you burned these yourself right? Are there only 4 episodes and the 4th is the last one?

It could be you have a bad disc that is exhibiting read errors on the outer edge of the disc.

Do you have a different dvd drive you could try reading the disc on (computer dvd drive that is)?

there was 6 episodes on it but the last 3 wouldnt work, found out it was scratched to hell. SO the only question I have left is how could I get them all ripped without having to do them one at a time. I just want to store all my episodes on a external harddrive and be bale to watch any of them with vlc player without the whole dvd menu popping up. I'm probably missing something very basic.

If its scratched try any of the aftermarket disc cleaners out there. I can't vouch for any as I've never tried them.

Also try what I said and try ripping with a different computer dvd drive. Different models seem to have different tolerances on read errors.

Unfortunately there is the real possibility it could be lost. If the scratch is too deep you might be out of luck. Sorry.
