They might have a better video source and may have applied some filters so it's not that simple as just the encoding settings.
But you can use Mis2x264 to "convert" the x264 encoding settings so you can use it in the x264 encoder (command line tool). I think some guis can use the command line settings also. -
I understand everything you tell me for once.
I will upload the two files as a sample.
Maybe my judgement is whats wrong.
I will upload two samples and let you be the judge.

Is your original video source interlaced 25 fps?
The other one might be from for example a 50fps progressive source so it's easier to get smoother playback. -
Yes the file I made was originally 25 fps interlaced

But overall what do you see to be the biggest difference? was is the lookahead thing and threats?
One more thing in encoding settings: why is there not info about the yadif being used? -
Your version looks better than the original. It has less motion blur. I have no problems playing either of these clips.

I find nothing wrong with yours either. For the samples the other one has a 20% higher bitrate and for the complete videos nearly 30%. That's significant and about the only way I can think to improve yours is to boost the bitrate. Either that or encode for a CRF that's good enough for you. And Yadif, while it looks OK there, isn't the best deinterlacer. It's main claim to fame is that it's fast. If you have all the time in the world, you might consider using QTGMC.
-
I agree, QTGMC will give a cleaner image than yadif, with better accutance (clarity). Even at QTGMC's faster settings (try "fast" or "very fast" as the QTGMC preset) you'll like it better than yadif. Don't use the "ultra fast" setting, or QTGMC will default to yadif internally and you're almost back where you started with yadif alone.
I use yadif myself occasionally, but usually with very odd or over sharpened video that could use a more smoothing effect because of really bad noise and other defects.Last edited by sanlyn; 26th Mar 2014 at 05:43.

I will try the QTGMC right away, is it okay to try it with the program XviD4PSP 5 ? right now I am using Xmedia Recode witch have given me the best results I have ever had. I guess its not possible to use yadif and QTGMC in Handbrake gui?
Nice to hear that my conversion looks good, I guess one of my problems is that I am a perfectionist.. -
I don't see either one of them listed among the included filters. In my version 5.0 you can edit the AviSynth script to add any AviSynth filter you like. Remember, though, that QTGMC is a bobber. If you want the original framerate back add in SelectEven afterwards:
QTGMC(Preset="Fast").SelectEven()
It also requires a number of other filters to work so make sure and have them. Before trying to use it in XviD4PSP maybe try and open it in VDub to see if you get an error message (I open scripts in XviD4PSP, and not the videos themselves). Or maybe XviD4PSP will also give you an error message that will help you pinpoint any problems.
I guess its not possible to use yadif and QTGMC in Handbrake gui?

QTGMC, documentation, and a complete package of all required Avisynth plugins is available here: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=156028

Its i my version, and thats a good thing because i am very bad at writing avisynth in freehand. there is also one called QTGMC sharp -

Very interesting.
Any chance I loose some birate from editing..
What I do:
1. Record with DVB Viewer
2. Edit what I recorded with VideRedo
3. Convert with the gui i want.

Because he started with a better quality source than you. If your source is fuzzy and has no detail your encodings will be the same. You can try sharpening before encoding to get a sharper picture. But that won't restore missing detail in the grass.
It's no secret -- bob and encode at 50 fps. 25 fps is always jerky. His panning shots are no smoother than yours. -
