Hi, my current video converter keeps crashing violently when I try to convert a video file to;
MPEG-4 (DivX, Xvid), 768 Kbps; Audio: MP3, 96Kbps. I'm looking for an alternative that can convert most video format to this format ?

	Hi
 WinFF has several built-in AVI presets that might be suitable.

 But it's easy enough to make your own preset.
 The tutorial is here ---> http://code.google.com/p/winff/wiki/HowToMakePresets

 Your 'Preset Command Line Parameters' will be something like this:-

 Code:-c:v mpeg4 -b:v 768k -vtag XviD -c:a libmp3lame -b:a 96k -ar 44100 -ac 2

	Works for me.

 Full documentation for commands is here ---> http://ffmpeg.org/ffmpeg.html

	FFMpeg (Ms Compatible AVI) works, not the preset command you gave. It's a little choppy, not much. Any other suggestions ? Maybe there can be a equal balance I can get between the (MS Compatible) codec preset in FFMpeg and your command line which works except no audio, but was a little clearer. I'm going to over look the manual but maybe a suggestion would help
