Salvage parts from a dead laptop

Hi All,

My 3 year old Acer laptop has failed recently. I was wondering if possible to find a desktop motherboard that support Intel Core2 Duo M and notebook RAM ?

I think you're looking for a socket 479 or socket p motherboard. Many Micro ATX and Mini ITX boards used to use that.

But given the prices you're probably better off just dumping the parts.

Probably better to sell the laptop, whole or in bits, and buy PC parts.
Maybe some laptop repair shop will swap them for you.
