Dear All,
Sorry if i don't know where to begin, so i decide to start a new thread...
I have some videos with high bitrate larger than 100000 kbps (shown in Total Video Converter) and it takes time to play in my video player...
So now i have a Sony Vegas Pro 10 and i don't know how to reduce the bitrate into approx 2000kbps without lose quality...
i have tried Adobe After Effect cs3 but it takes my resource a lot and bad result...
Please anyone know the right place for my question or help me right here, i appreciate it much.
Thank you.

the 2 are already under 2000kbps. the only real difference is that they are 24p and the other is 30p. all are strangely mpeg-1. it's not used for much anymore. i'd say try to convert them all to mpeg-4. try vidcoder - remember to turn de-interlacing on(slower).

But VCD resolution is usually 352x240 (ntsc) or 352x288 (pal).

Yeah, those VCD's usually only have about an hour or two 30 minute "chapters" of some soap opera from the homeland and they fill up the disc when they burn 'em so hence the high bitrate.
These soap operas usually come on 20 or so discs so you have to keep getting up and changing the disc.
OP probably wants to copy a bunch of the chapters and put on one disc for resale or whatever. There's a market for this stuff from countries like Cambodia where they have nothing available on the dish networks. A lot of Asians buy this stuff because they're loaded with culture, not Americanized.Last edited by budwzr; 9th Sep 2011 at 21:13.

Yeah, I know. We don't have VCD players here in the US. He probably wants to make mpeg2/ac-3. That file, he probably didn't know mpeg1 resolution.
