I have home videos and would like to extract video sequences where identified peoples are present.
Therefore, I would have to index where these people are, within each video, and to retreive these "apparition" sequences".
Is there exist some software that could help me to do so ?
I am french canadian but very fluent in IT
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays!

You know, when you want to index player presence (ex: hockey player sequence ... no 31 get in, no 33 get in, no31 get out, no 33 get out)
I know Canadiens NHL hockey team has developped an video-indexing software that has more options as no 34 start boxing, no 34 stop boxing; zone entry; lost possession; many more ... to produce inter-period chamber-reviewed videos.
I would only stipulate when a player is in/out of the view. -
I have a feeling there is much human observation, combined with standard footage logging software, employed by the Canadiens hockey team. Current biometrics and realtime video recognition technology is still being perfected; the best of which is expensive and available almost exclusively for law enforcement and government intelligence agencies.
With that said, you might want to check out this link and see if this is a workable solution for you:

More information can be derived here:

But try to maintain realistic expectations. -
Thanks filmboss80, you're right. There is much more human observation, combined with standard footage logging software, employed by the Canadiens hockey team.
It would do what I would. Therefore, I am searching for "standard footage logging software" right now.
