I want to get a DVD Burner for my computer system, but I'm not sure on a few things:
1. Can I watch DVD movies on my computer by putting a DVD movie into my DVD Burner, much like I would a DVD-ROM?
2. Can I use a DVD Burner to rip a DVD disc, much like I would a DVD-ROM?
I ask because I have room for two bays... a DVD Burner and a CD Burner, and I won't have room for a DVD ROM in my setup.

a DVD-RW is actually a
DVD-RW/DVD-ROM/CD-RW/CD-ROM all packed into one drive.
SO you could save your money because ur dvd burner also burns cds -
Yeah, I'd advise getting a DVD-R/W drive (or possibly a DVD+R/W drive), and a DVD-ROM drive, or else you can scrap the DVD-ROM drive.
No need for a CD burner since the DVD-R/W (or DVD+R/W) will include it. (This is not true for the current DVD-RAM/-R drives though, but will be true come October.)
