    If I understand you correctly, you want to go:

    [Audio]
    Sony BDP-S370 (Blu-ray Player) --(via HDMI in cable)-> AU-HDMICP (Splitter box) --(via 35mm cables)-> Logitech z-506 surrround system.
    [Video]
    Sony BDP-S370 (Blu-ray Player) --(via HDMI in cable)-> AU-HDMICP (Splitter box) --(via HDMI out cable)-> HDMI-capable TV/Monitor.

    If so, as long as your TV is HDMI 1.3-capable (and you're NOT trying to play BD3D discs), you should be fine. I say SHOULD because the only way to know for sure is to try it out. HDMI splitters have been known to not work correctly before.

    Another reason for trying it out is that even if it all seems to work correctly, you might have some Video <--> Audio sync issues (if the processing on the V side takes more time than the processing on the A side, and there isn't any delay compensation).

    Having never used ANY of these devices, I can't really say...
    Good luck,

    Scott

    BOTH the AU-HDMICP splitter box and the Logitech surround speakers you mentioned at the beginning have 3 pairs of signals, which are connected via 3 STEREO mini/35mm phono plug (male on both ends): L+R (Front), L+R (Back/Surround), C+Sub

    So, full surround all the way to your ears.

    That LAST pic you showed would NOT provide the same level of quality...

    AFA CHEAP, well, if you want surround, that's about as cheap as you can get and still keep surround.
