[Ask] MPC Stopped Working At every start

Hi all.

Whew, i've combined community codec pack installed (with mpc-hc included) and run perfectly until a few hours ago.


Then suddenly, upon trying to play a video with mpc-hc, a message popped up, "Warning: Creating EVR Custom Renderer .... The installed DirectX End-User Runtime is outdated. Please download and install the June 2010 release or newer in order for MPC-HC to function properly."
As a result I went to here and install the latest directX.

Now, every time I play any video with mpc-hc, it will just crash and stop working. I tried VLC, it still works normally.

This problem then added by error message ".Net runtime optimization service stopped working and was closed" every time computer start-up. I'm not sure if it's linked with the mpc problem.

Anyone also got the same experience..care to share if you know one or two solutions?

Try change renderer in mpchc, View->Options->Playback->Output->DirectShow Video.

I changed to system default, now it works.
However, upon playing .mkv (with codec H264-MPEG-4 AVC) there would be no display, only sound.
And .rmvb cannot work as well - "mpc-hc could not render some of the pins in the graph, you may not have the needed codecs or filter installed on the system : Output 00 (Audio Stream)." Only the picture displayed, no sound.

Other format i've tried (avi,mp4,flv) works properly though.
Previously, all formats work properly.

Note: Since the error, i uninstalled the cccp, and install k-lite codec pack full.

I have a problem like that with k-lite codec pack mega.
