  1. I'm making SVCDs using:

    DVD2AVI -> VFAPI -> Virtualdub -> CCE

    I'm using virtualdub to resize to 480x576, my source is PAL interlaced.

    I was just wondering, when I add the resizing filter in virtualdub there is a checkbox called "interlace". Does anyone know what this is for? I've tried encoding with it checked or unchecked and it does not seem to make any difference.

    Thanks

  2. The interlace option only affects vertical resizing. It preserves the interlacing when you change the vertical frame size. If you didn't use that option and resized vertically, the fields would get blended, which would destroy the purpose of interlacing.
