  1. i have a dvd quality avi and i was wondering how can i burn it so that i can play it in my dvd player w/o loosing and quality

    Any conversion is gonna give you quality loss. But you don't see all types of quality loss. The best way is to burn a DVD but that's probably not available to you so the next step is to create an SVCD or XSVCD. I've com up with some pretty good settings for SVCD I think and maybe you wanna test it out for yourself. Make a short clip (5 or 10 minutes) of your video and encode using TMPGEnc using

    For Standard SVCD:
    480 x 480
    CQ Min=0 Max=2520 Quality=65
    Audio 128 to 384kbps (your preference)

    XSVCD - (NON-Standard):
    [i]same as above but)
    720 x 480
    & w/ 128kbps for audio you get about 80~85 Minutes per disc

    If you can't create an SVCD then burn a VCD or XVCD...

    P.S. The XSVCD settings will play on APEX AD-1500 players for those of you with the APEX AD-1500
