Looking for a PCI express card that has TWO HDMI (white trapeziod connections) AND a DVI out (flattened top hat connector) so I can run a signal to my 1080i TV via DVI while utilizing my HDMI connection to my 24" LCD at the same time
I know many people interchange those type connectors
I found few cards with ONE DVI; ONE HDMI and a VGA; that is it ;-(
Thanks
PERSONAL replys welcome!!!

Maybe you can use a powered HDMI splitter if both TVs are to show the same thing at once.
I think the best you can do is one HDMI-out. You might get a second HDMI port via an adapter, but it probably won't carry audio. Even if it did, when HDMI is selected as the audio output device, both TVs will receive the same audio. -
Are you feeding the same signal to both TV sets or separate? What is the third display? Your computer monitor?

I was window shopping for video cards today, and spotted a card with 2 HDMI ports, 1 D-SUB VGA port and a displayport (but no DVI). http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125358 There is no displayport to DVI adapter shown, and I don't know which one (if any) would work with the type of display port this card has. However, if both HDMI connections are used, it isn't possible to use any of the other connections at the same time anyway. The manual doesn't say, but when both HDMI ports are used, I suspect the same audio would likely still be sent over both HDMI connections.

As it happens, I got this card for $90 at Fry's yesterday:

It has two DVI outputs and one mini HDMI. -

If I understand the description of the feature correctly, the ATI Radeon HD 5XXX cards with Eyefinity http://www.amd.com/US/PRODUCTS/TECHNOLOGIES/AMD-EYEFINITY-TECHNOLOGY/Pages/eyefinity.aspx are capable of running 3 displays simultaneously. ATI's new Eyefinity 6 cards can handle 6 monitors. Eyefinity is supposed to permit independent resolutions, refresh rates, color controls, and video overlays to be used for each one in an extended desktop. However none of the cards I looked at allowed 2 HDMI connections plus something else, and depending on the card one of the three might need to be VGA.
For example, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814125358 drives up to three displays simultaneously but the configuration that permits this is HDMI + DP + VGA. It can't run 3 displays using digital connections, and can't run a VGA monitor in addition to 2 HDMI monitors.
The manual for this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161344 says 3 digital connections are allowed, though there are restrictions on which three may be used. (Looking at the list below, maybe one of the DVI-I ports and the HDMI port share resources?)
From the manual:
The graphics card can output to a maximum of three displays using the following set of connections:
• Two DVI-I Dual Link connections and one DisplayPort connection.
• One DVI-I Dual Link connection, one HDMI connection, and one
DisplayPort connection.
• One DVI-I Dual Link connection, one VGA connection (via a DVI-I Dual Link
connection and DVI-to-VGA adapter), and one DisplayPort connection.
• One VGA connection (via a DVI-I Dual Link connection and DVI-to-VGA
adapter), one HDMI connection, and one DisplayPort connection.Last edited by usually_quiet; 3rd Jan 2011 at 18:11.
