  1. Hi
    I encoded video files taken with a digital still camera using Avidemux - Average Bitrate Two pass. Noticed that the resulting file loses audio at 8:57. The same happened to another file which is more than 10 minutes.
    The source video is .MOV
    No filters or adjusted frame rate.
    Information on how to solve the problem is greatly appreciated.

    To what format (container) are you encoding them?


    You might try running the MOVs through MP4Cam2AVI and see if that converts the videos without the sound drops.
    If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?
