Video came from Panasonic HVX-200. My partner evidently converted them to .mov files on his Mac. I can ask what exactly he did, but I'll post the stats below.

I can play them in my Edius Pro timeline, but the sum of clips in the timeline do not run as long as they should. Also, they will play smoothly, but skip ahead any number of seconds in an instant. I don't know if I need an Apple codec, but I'd prefer to just convert these to MPEG2 with as little loss of quality as possible. Any software recommended for this is appreciated. I wish I could explain it better, but hopefully this made enough sense, and I can further clarify, if needed.
