Hi guys,
I have QuickTime Apple ProRes 422(HQ) SD PAL footage and I want to convert it to MPEG 2 PAL for DVD. The problem is that every time result is the same - encoded movie is dark. When it plays on TV the encoded movie is darker than the source file. What should I do to correct the movie?
I receive the footage captured on MAC probably and I work on PC, if this maters...

YES, it matters!
PCs and MACs have different gamma settings, and those almost ALWAYS affect the encoded video (unless the videographer/editor monitors - and compensates for - via a NTSC/601/709 TV or calibrated Monitor vs. the usual monitor).
PC gamma is 2.2 and Mac is 1.8 (or vice-versa, I can never remember this one). You'll have to make this gamma adjustment when doing the conversion for everything to work out right.
