I have Nero 7 on my laptop, and normally burn TDK DVD-R. I happened to pick up a +R package, and decided to use it today. Nero objected. It suggested another DVD, =/-R/ RW type. Is there some way to tell Nero that my +R are fine? Maybe that happens during install. BTW, I had used a -R on the first copy w/o any trouble.

TDK blanks (DVD) are garbage......dump Nero (especially for DVD Video burning)....ImgBurn is free and THE BEST burner period. And you have a laptop? Don't expect miracles or a long life with a laptop burner either. Use the best discs you can buy and BURN SLOW.

You'd be much better off using ImgBurn, but if you insist on using Nero, you might also try updating the firmware on your burner. Unless this burner is really old it's unlikely that it doesn't support +R discs. It could be that you need a newer firmware so that Nero can understand how to write to the discs. Having to update your firmware just to burn a disc is a sure sign of low quality media though. This not necessary with high quality media (Taiyo Yuden and Verbatim). ImgBurn may have a write strategy for the discs that does not require a firmware upgrade, so that's one of the many reasons we suggest it.
