  1. Ok i got a film that my pc says uses the divx codec so i went to convert it with tmpgenc like i do my other films but it just locks up the program. So then i went to seperatly make a wave file of its audio with virtual dub then make the mpeg using that audio source and the original file like it said in a guide .But when i went to extract the audio virtual dub said this program no longer supports asf file format since version 1.3d.So i got 1.3d went to load the file then it said compiling asf heading or something like that. But then after it done that it says this is not a asf file .

SO what the hell is it windows says its divx ,yet newer version of virtual dub say its asf and older version tell me its not so what is it and how do i convert to mpg?

  2. Install the Nimo Codec Pack. It will give you ALL the codecs you need.

  3. I think it s some funny SVCD format like we have seen on screeners.

I believe the Royal Tenenbaum had one problematic one going around like that. Try renaming the AVI to MPEG extension instead and see whether you have better luck.
