I normally extract MPG from a DVD using VOB2MPG. I get several MPGs. But this time, I get a very large MPG instead. When I play using the media players or VideoReDO, it show only about 2 hours of the MPG.

Can anyone advise me how I can view the whole MPG ?

    THanks.

My ultimate goal is to extract the audio from the DVD into MP3. These are lectures. Each is about 1 hour. When I extract the MPG from the DVD using VOB2MPG, I normally get a few files of a few hours each. It's not that hugh and VideoRedo can handle it. This time, it's 1 big file, too hugh for VideoRedo. I then use other media players to try watching it to see if there is any problem with the MPG. I used VLC, Windows Media Player, etc and all of them could only read about 2 hours.

So what can I do to extract the MPG (I also want the MPG, not just the MP3) so that they are smaller. Thanks

VOB2MPG extracts titles, so if the DVD has one big title, you get one big mpg file. That said, the file should not be larger than the capacity of the disc, and I have edited MPG files in videoredo that are far larger than any DVD could hold.

How long should the file be (running time) ?
Did you try using DVD Decrypter (or DVDfab HD Decrypter to get the files onto your HDD, then using VOB2MPG ?
VOB2MPG shows you what it has found, so what did it say ?
