Just got my new laptop 3 days ago, and I've noticed that the right-click is relatively slow considering that it's a new laptop...
Sony VPCEB1E0E Intel Core i3330M 213GHz Processor 3GB PC38500 DDR3 SDRAM 320GB Hard Drive
Takes like 2-2.5 seconds...

Something odd there. Check your Task Manager or at least your hard drive light to see if there is a lot of HDD access or CPU or RAM usage. Maybe a anti malware program is checking the menu first. You could also check your mouse settings, but I don't think there is a setting for that. Have you tried a different mouse or tried the touchpad or similar R click button to see if they work better?

I did check everything...I've uninstalled MCAfee but still no change
I've even tried a new mouse but still the same...
Do you think it might be something wrong with the laptop?

by the way, if I press right-mouse for my computer or recycle bin, then I get it instant, only the right mouse click on the desktop takes 2 seconds.

Sounds like CPU getting pegged out somehow. Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

The shellexview method described here has worked for some people (see comments below the article, maybe you'll recognize a program that's on your laptop):

Seems to work for some people, but not everyone. Might be worth a shot.

2D + Context menu handle issue

 1: Run regedit

 2: Locate > HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Background\shellex\Con textMenuHandlers

3: Left click on "ContextMenuHandlers" to highlight it and then file > export , call it CMH.reg ... your backup

4: Leave "new" alone ... it'll be one of the other values causing the issue which should be removed

5: Post what is found under this key if unsure
