Please help a newbie before he throws his digcam out of the window along with his dvd player!!!
System:
Marantz DV4100ose - DVD Player
EasyCDCreator5 platinum - CD burner
Pinnacle Studio 7 - Authoring software
Canon MV3MC Digicam - Video Source
I have had success authoring my dv footage and burning onto cd using VCD format and MPEG1 compression. However, I cannot seem to edit and burn cds that play on my DVD player that are DVD formatted using MPEG2 compression. Where am I going wrong? In Studio 7, there is the functionality to author in DVD/MPEG2, but when I attempt to use the VCD creation wizard in ECD5, I get error messages. Furthermore, when i do successfully save in DVD/MPEG2, my DVD player doesn't recognise the disk. The player's manual clearly states it can decode MPEG2. Please help a newbie who simply wants to improve the video quality of my current VCD creations. Thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!! Andy (very confused)

You can not burn dvd as vcd with easy cd creator. And if you are authoring dvd on cdr/w you are creating a minidvd/cdvd that won't work on most dvd players. www.vcdhelp.com/minidvd.htm
