Hello, I recently found a program called MPEG Streamclip 1.9. I downloaded it on my Powerbook G4 with 1.25Gb of Ram and a 1.33Ghtz Processor. Not the fastest notebook but its solid. I would like to take VOB files from a DVD and convert them or export them to a .mov or .mpg for import into DVD Studio Pro or iDVD. Is this possible and how do I know what VOB files to grab off the DVD? Thanks for any help you may have to offer.

PS. I tried to take the VOB files into Streamclip but each time I got an error message that said "the first part of the file is not valid" Any suggestions?

You would start by ripping the DVD's using a program such as DVDFab Decrypter, this will get the files onto your HDD. You would then extract the audio/video from the VOB files. The video will be in mpeg2. You don't want to convert, especially if your final format will again be DVD.

There should be several guides in the HOW TO section for each of the steps and/or someone else can provide more detailed information.
