  1. I download certain avi files, for example, that has this file properties:
480 x 260, 24 Bits, 88530 Frames, 24.006 Frames/Sec, 34 KB/Sec, DivX codec and I get this error message:"Not enough memory to complete this operation", when I try to just play them. My suspicion is that it may have something to do with the framerate since it looks like it may have been created on a PAL system and not a NTSC. I have d/l'ed and installed the Nimo codec pack, divx codec 4.3(?), also divx palyer5.xx. Am I missing some codec or are these files just corrupt? I have d/l'ed probably 2-3 gigs of files like this and just deleted them. Could someone please tell me what I am missing here? THANK YOU!!

  2. wierd error message; usually i get format not supported if a file is bad. I have a friend that installed the latest version of Nimo and ran into probs. he had to completely uninstall nimo and reinstall Nimo version 4.33.
u should try opening it with VirtualDub from this site, select direct stream copy for both audio and video, the save as avi. If virtual dub cant open or fix it, then it prob is a bad file. Can also try divfix from this site.
May also want to try reinstalling windows media player 7.0 or later.

  3. forgot to mention that Pal or NTSC doesn't matter on most players like winmedia and microdvd, etc.
