Ok, so I got all the files, located them and put in my password, I hit install and it gives me this:

    Code:
##sh: -c: line 0: unexpected EOF while looking for matching `''
sh: -c: line 1: syntax error: unexpected end of file
I don't know what to make of it, help would be greatly appreciated. I'm running OSX 10.5.4 on a 2.4GHz 17" MacBook Pro.

This error seems related to an apostrophe character, where there shouldn't be one.
Do you have such a character in a disk name, folder name, or even in your password?

Yeah, I have one in my password, I'll change that and try again.

Well, yeah, and thanks, but it still doesn't work anyway. I got to where I am supposed to be, and when I try to encode, nothing happens. I've tried going to mencoder preset, and it still won't load anything on iTunes (even when I drag it there myself). I was presented with a blank screen last time.

If you're trying to convert a RealMedia source file to something iTunes/iPod/iPhone/AppleTV compatible, then it won't work in one conversion. RealMedia files can only be converted if mplayer is used for decoding, like with a mencoder preset, because reallib is an mplayer plug-in.
iPod/iPhone presets use the ffmpeg engine (not mencoder), and doesn't use mplayer for decoding.

iTunes video files need special information in the file that have to be added by the encoder. The iPod/iPhone presets do this. It also has some video requirements (e.g. AVC level 3.0) that mencoder can't provide. The blank screen probably means that the video is not understood by iTunes.

To bring a converted RM file into iTunes using ffmpegX, you may need two conversions: (1) Convert the RM file to something that the ffmpeg presets can work with, using a mencoder preset. (2) Convert the previous output to something iTunes likes, using an iPod/iPhone preset.
