    Hi everyone!

Im formatting my sisters laptop, everything went ok, but theres a key on the keyboard that i suspect means that the portable is "wifi capable", i asked my sister but she told me she rarely uses the laptop nowadays sho she doesnt remember wether it had that function.

Can someone help me out finding if it has wifi capabilities? heres the Everest log:

Do Start>Run> type devmgmt.msc and hit enter. Look under the Network Adapters item in the tree, any wireless adapters will show there.

Definitely no wifi adapter in the system. The only option would be to use an external card.

Your laptop might have a mini-PCI slot internal that a optional wifi card would fit in. Look under some of the panels on the bottom for access.

What does the boot up screen say? I haven't seen many laptops who don't paste their brand all over the boot screen.

You can also download Everest Home Edition which can give you a ton of info on your system. If there is an internal slot for wireless (my laptop has one), you'll need the model number in order to get the proper card.

    Oh...

Well, that just proves that GREAT MINDS THINK ALIKE!

Portuguese is not my first, second or third language, but it appears that WISTRON is the manufacturer of your laptop. They are an OEM contract builder in the far east. Just who they built this for is not determinable with the info on hand.

As for a wireless card, I would look for a vacant mini PCI slot somewhere on the bottom of the motherboard.
