    I have an .avi file and i'd like to convert it and burn it onto a dvd-r and watch it a dvd player. Are there any guide on here?

    FAVC or DVD Flick are good, free converters. Either will create the required DVD structure. Burn the resulting Video_TS folder to good media with Imgburn and you will have a working DVD Video disc. Both are simple to use, and both have guides on their respective pages int he tools section (hint : click on the tool names in this post to get there)
