Simple tools please

I am a newbie In need of a simple to use quality mathod
to take my DV's and old VHS's , edit these family tapes and
put the output on DVD's both pal and NTSC.

Can you please help ? Please explain the steps and the reccomended softs

You will be needing several tools as you are performing different functions. You will need to perform capturing (see HOW TO: Capture) to transfer your DV and VHS onto the PC. You will then need to perform any editing that you desire (see HOW TO: Edit). You will then need to author (see HOW TO: Author) your files onto DVD. There are guides (with the tools used) in each section. Your hardware and software selections will vary based on your skill level and the amount of money you can spend.

You could also try an all-in-one tool like Ulead DVD MovieFactory, Ulead DVD Workshop, Adobe Premiere ELements, Vegas Movie Studio, NeroVision. I can't say what's best just for you.
