  2. I used virtual dub and frameserved to CCE to get the size right, but only did video in CCE. extracted the audio with virtual dub, then converted to mp2 with BeSweet and toolame. then used pulldown.exe on the mpv to get the framerate from 25 to 29.97. then used bbmpeg to mux the mpv and mp2 into one mpeg2 SVCD compliant stream.

another method used was DVD2SVCD will also let you encode avi to SVCD using the above methods in the background.

and yes, it was the exact same file, jar with his funked up ascpect ratio, just like the Ali

  4. If you are trying to encode a 23.97fps Divx to 25fps PAL you need to shrink the video by about 4% to match the new length of the video when played back at 25fps. This can be done with many commercial wave editor type tools, I use sonic soundforge for this.

Basically you need to read the NTSC to PAL conversion guide in the Howto's for details.

  5. with the exact same file you have:
    for the video
virtual and frameserved to CCE and got a mpv video file
used pulldown.exe to change the framerate to 29.97
    for the audio
virtual dub direct stream copy and save wav
open BeSweet and use it to convert the wav to mp2 using azid and toolame

    muxing process
open bbmpeg and load the video file and then load the audio file, choose SVCD offset, choose output filesize, then go

the result is standard compliant SVCD stream

for the guide I used go on over to www.doom9.org
