    Hi there,

    So I've watched numerous movies where at the end of the credits they feature logos and such (one in particular is the "Edited in Final Cut Pro). How exactly do I go about doing this in Final Cut? Is it possible? Do I need to use something like After Effects?

    I do have an EPS file for the "edited in final cut" but I dont know what to do with it. I also have some other logos I'd like to use but cant at the moment.

    I also want to be able to put in the logo of the film and the production company to the scroll...

    any help would be greatly appreciated. merci.

    You would use Livetype, which came bundled with
    your (legitimate) copy of Final Cut Pro?

    Simply create your end title crawl:

    * stars
    * directed by
    * crew
    *etc.
    and then insert your .jpg of the graphic into Livetype at the point
    you want it to appear.

    here are the steps from the Livetype Manual, provided by Apple:

    Step 1: Configure the working environment
    Set the output resolution, frame rate, and other project properties.
    Set up the grid, guides, and rulers in the Canvas, according to your working
    preferences.

    Step 2: Apply a background, if any

    Step 3: Create elements (text or objects) in the Canvas, one by one
    Position and shape a track for the element.
    Add a graphic element to the track.
    Select a font.
    Adjust attributes and apply styles to the element.

    Step 4: Animate the elements
    Define the movie duration.
    Apply effects and adjust the timing.
    Customize the animation with keyframe adjustments.

    Step 5: Preview and fine-tune the movie

    Step 6: Render the final movie for compositing into FCP

    Step 7: Export the movie to an alternative format, if needed

    hmm it doesn't seem that this completely solves the problem - there doesn't seem to be a way to make the text and the graphic one element so that everything scrolls together. im trying to embed the image in the actual scroll itself so that everything happens together at the same time at the same rate... anyone else?

    Try using CHV's "The Text Collection" FCP plugin
