  1. Hi I am working on a project in Dvd-lab Pro 2.3 I have a link from the root menu to my chapter selection menu (which consists of 4 menu pages). Is there any way for me to keep the audio active (keep it playing) when the user browses through my chapter selection menu pages instead of starting from the begining of the audio track on each menu page?

    Thanks

  2. Nope...that would be against the DVD spec. The laser must refocus from menu to menu.

As Videopoo has pointed out, the DVD specification doesn't allow this to happen, so no authoring tool can provide this function.

  4. I upgraded to dvd-lab from TDA3 because someone told me it could be done ... I should've known better Thanks guys for your assistance.

BTW, is there a way I can convert PAL subtitles in .srt format to NTSC?

Subtitle Workshop is probably worth a look. I haven't had to do this, so I can't say for sure, but it can do pretty much anything else so I would be surprised if it didn't.

What is a PAL format subtitle ??

When i have converted pal dvd's to ntsc i've just ripped and used the same subtitle file...
as long as you don't change the length of the video there should be no problems with the timing.

If you are applying a subtitle from an PAL DVD version to an NTSC version then the timings will be off.

if you don't change the length or timing of the vid why would it be ??

I've done it alot and never had a problem.....

    same length/time + same length/time = same length/time......

    Edit:
Okay, i see what you are saying, taking the original subs from an original PAL dvd and using them for an original NTSC dvd... but who does that
Usually the originals have sub's 8)

but he was not real specific about it...
i just assumed he was doing a pal to ntsc dvd conversion.
