    Can someone please help me, i just got a movie off itunes and its m4v and i need to convert it to MP4, anyone know how? is it possible?

    ren *.m4v *.mp4
    m4v is just Apple's incorrectly used extension. Problem is the DRM though, you would need to remove that first before anything else would play it (excluding iPod's, iTV, etc.). No idea if any tools are available for striping DRM from video files either.

    I thought Apple used the extensions primarily so that iTunes would have an easy way of knowing where to place each MP4 (podcasts, audiobooks, videos, etc.)? Are there any flags or other information within an MP4 that could allow for that without the differing extensions?
    If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?
