Hello,
I have a PAL video of 25fps 8886.7 kbps captured using my HDD Sony model DCR SR32E of 0.8 Mpixels.
I would like to know, is there a way that I can improve the quality and detail (especially backround details like faces, etc) of the video?
I'm sorry if this has been already posted but I've searched and didn't find.

The short answer is no, that only works on TV shows
. If you have for example a nearly fetureless face in the background the best you can expect to do is make it look a little better by removing noise and sharpening the edges. This will give somewhat of an affect of increased detail but it's really not creating anything.
